Raise your hand if you have been busy scrolling the gram with all this new found time as we adjust to our new normal. I know I have found myself  drooling over insta pics of dreamy spa like bedroom and bathroom retreats. And if you’re like most of my clients this is a room that you have thought of remodeling pretty much every time you step into it but after weighting the investment compared to the fact that who really ever sees this room anyway? And just like that it’s quickly pushed to the bottom of the never ending list of home improvement projects.  This thought process is madness, who says we aren’t deserving of the things that make us happy?!

I called this project a Modern Classic. Why? Well because this home sits in the middle of the historic borough of Newtown, Bucks County. So when my clients wanted a hotel-like feel and a modern palette I had to find that medium between modern and classic. The bedroom boasts rich walnut tones, paired with warm blues, and hints of grey and gold. While the bathroom is a mix of grey naturals with a classic calcutta waterjet mosaic. The choice to use polished nickel instead of the following gold metals that we featured in the bedroom was intentional on my part. I wanted to differentiate the spaces and each to stand out in their very own unique way. I am always talking about mixing metals and always being asked how to actually pull it off and this friends is a perfect example!

As always to my readers, thank you for taking the time to appreciate and value my work and advice. I love when you all weigh in and love answering all your design dilemma questions! So keep them coming!
